MLK Tribute Breakfast

Each year in January, the Multicultural Activities Committee (MAC) at Pitt Community College presents the Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Breakfast. Our 2023 event will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in the Goess Student Center on the PCC campus, and the theme for the event will be “AMPLIFY! Empowering Voices Through Advocacy.” We are pleased to announce that the speaker for the event will be Greg Hedgepeth, Director for Marketing & Communication for the Graduate School at North Carolina State University as well as President & CEO of Substantial Media LLC.

A MAC Scholarship was created several years ago to provide an opportunity for students to live the dream that Dr. King referenced in many of his speeches. This year we will present the scholarship in honor of Minerva Freeman, President of Freeman Consultant Group & Pitt County Family Development Corp.,Inc.

Breakfast will be catered by GK Café, and tickets are $15 each. Funds received from the breakfast support the annual MAC scholarship.

Contact Jasmin Spain at 493-7769 or Regina Garcia at 252-493-7568 if you have questions about the event.
