Donors Making a Difference
- Since 2004, The Eddie & Jo Allison Smith Family Foundation has provided an opportunity for more than 700 Pitt County students to attend college through their development of the VISIONS Career Development and Scholarship Program. Their partnership with the PCC Foundation, the Greater Greenville Community Foundation, PCC, and Pitt County Schools has created a very successful program for at-risk high school students and first generation college students in the community.
- Facility Naming Contributions from Craig F. Goess and Greenville Toyota helped the college support programs, capital needs and scholarships. The Craig F. Goess Student Center and the Craig M. Goess Construction & Industrial Technology Building are examples of major facility naming contributions on campus. The Herman Simon Building recognizes the founder of the college’s VISION Program. Contributions from the Eddie & Jo Allison Smith Family Foundation and many other donors supported this important facility that allowed the college to expand its nursing program and other health sciences programs.
- An estate gift from Vannie & Linwood Rouse established a $400,000 endowed scholarship program with the Pitt Community College Foundation to provide college access for many Pitt County students.
- An estate gift from Ed & Joan Warren provided funds to allow the college to construct a clock tower, establish an endowed scholarship, and support health science programs.
