Jennifer Hemink Vogt (pronounced “vote”) was hired as PCC’s special events coordinator on Nov. 15. A Greenville native, her primary responsibility will be organizing PCC Foundation fundraising events, such as the Down East Holiday Show and Outdoor Living Tour & Auction, in support of student scholarships and educational activities.

Jennifer is an East Carolina University graduate. Her professional background includes 16 years of middle school English teaching experience with Pitt County Schools.

“I’m really excited about joining Pitt Community College and working alongside great people who have dedicated themselves to helping others improve their lives through higher education,” Vogt said. “By providing resources that allow students to overcome financial barriers, the PCC Foundation has an important role with regard to educational equity at Pitt, and I look forward to doing my best to help the organization achieve its mission.”

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys watching football with her husband, John, and dog, Jack, spending time with her nephews in Minnesota, and helping out at Covenant Church in Winterville.
