Meet Casey Hargett, a Greenville native and two-time graduate of Pitt Community College now serving as a member of the Greenville Police Department (GPD).
Hargett, a J.H. Rose graduate, excelled in her PCC studies and as a member of the college’s intercollegiate softball team. The Bulldogs went 55-20 in her two seasons, making the 2013 NJCAA Div. I Fast-Pitch Softball Championship Tournament and coming within a game of the national tourney the following year. She transferred to N.C. Central University after her sophomore year at Pitt and played two seasons with the Eagles.
Along the way, she earned an associate of arts at PCC and bachelor’s degree in psychology from NCCU. She returned to Pitt for Basic Law Enforcement Training and completed it in 2018.
Earlier this year, GPD honored Hargett for her response to a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Memorial Drive following a robbery.
Officer Hargett, we thank you for helping keep the community safe and for being an outstanding PCC alumna!
