As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the Pitt Community College Foundation has significantly altered the format of this year’s spring scholarship fundraiser, which was originally scheduled for March 20. It was a difficult decision, but the health and safety of our supporters, volunteers and staff is our top priority.
Rather than gathering at the Cotton Barn for food and festivities, we have elected to move forward with the event’s online auction only, as part of the worldwide effort to curb the spread of coronavirus. We hope you will consider supporting our auction through bidding and sharing the opportunity to bid on unique items with your friends through social media.
As most of you already know, the spring scholarship auction is one of the PCC Foundation’s most important fundraisers each year. Revenue generated through the event directly supports PCC student scholarships and numerous educational activities at the college.
The online auction will begin March 23 at 8 a.m. and run until 8 p.m. on April 5. Items up for bid can be viewed on the event page. To view the items in person, please make an appointment by contacting PCC Event Coordinator Erin Greenleaf at egreenleaf@email.pittcc.edu or (252) 493-7496.
We thank you for your continued support of the PCC Foundation, your efforts to organize this year’s spring scholarship event, and your commitment to the success of PCC students dedicated to improving their lives through higher education. We look forward to seeing you at one of our future fundraising ventures.
